Known Problems That Still Exist After You Apply This Patch
• We recommend you turn File sharing off before you launch Descent II. In one system configuration at MacPlay with File Sharing on, we have seen Descent II lock up the Macintosh upon quitting. If you experience this problem, make sure File Sharing is off before you play.
• Novell's MacIPX drivers don't work with PCI Ethernet cards. Therefore, if you are using a PCI net card, you won't be able to play IPX net games with Descent (or with any other game, for that matter). You can still play AppleTalk games.
• We have noticed some problems while playing IPX games on Apple Power Macs with 601 processors under System 7.5.5. If you are experiencing problems hosting or joining games, make sure you are using version 1.3.1 of the MacIPX drivers which are included with this updater.
• Due to the lack of a calibration mechanism within the Input Sprocket API, analog controllers which require calibration must be calibrated before entering the game by using the software which accompanied the individual controller.
• If you use Input Sprocket, auto-leveling is disabled. If you would like to use the auto-leveling feature in Descent II, drag the "InputSprocketLib" file out of your Extensions folder and into the Trash.
